IVF

IVF (in vitro fertilization) is a reproductive technology used for couples who cannot conceive naturally or experience fertility issues. The IVF procedure involves fertilizing the egg and sperm in a laboratory setting and aims to achieve pregnancy by transferring the resulting embryo into the uterus.
IVF can be a successful reproductive option for many couples. However, success with IVF depends on various factors, including the age of the couple, reproductive health, egg and sperm quality, among others. The IVF procedure also carries some risks, so it should be performed under the supervision of a doctor.

IVF represents a significant advancement in reproductive technology and can help many couples achieve their dreams of starting a family.

The IVF procedure generally includes the following steps:

Ovarian Stimulation: The woman's ovaries are stimulated using a series of hormone medications to encourage the production of multiple eggs.

Egg Retrieval: Matured eggs are retrieved from the ovaries, usually through a minor surgical procedure under mild sedation, guided by ultrasound.

Sperm Collection: A sperm sample is obtained from the male partner, which is then prepared in the laboratory. Donor sperm may also be used if necessary.

Fertilization and Embryo Development: Eggs and sperm are combined in a laboratory setting, and fertilization occurs. The resulting embryos develop in the laboratory for several days.

Embryo Transfer: The healthiest embryos, typically after 3 to 5 days, are transferred into the woman's uterus. This process is a simple procedure done through a thin catheter.

Pregnancy Test: A few weeks after the embryo transfer, pregnancy is confirmed through blood or urine tests.
