IVF (in vitro fertilization) is a reproductive technology used for couples who cannot conceive naturally or experience fertility issues. The IVF procedure generally includes the following steps:

Ovarian Stimulation: The woman's ovaries are stimulated using a series of hormone medications to encourage the production of multiple eggs.

Egg Retrieval: Matured eggs are retrieved from the ovaries, usually through a minor surgical procedure under mild sedation, guided by ultrasound.

Sperm Collection: A sperm sample is obtained from the male partner, which is then prepared in the laboratory. Donor sperm may also be used if necessary.

Fertilization and Embryo Development: Eggs and sperm are combined in a laboratory setting, and fertilization occurs. The resulting embryos develop in the laboratory for several days.

Embryo Transfer: The healthiest embryos, typically after 3 to 5 days, are transferred into the woman's uterus. This process is a simple procedure done through a thin catheter.

Pregnancy Test: A few weeks after the embryo transfer, pregnancy is confirmed through blood or urine tests.
